Chandima Rathnayaka is Deputy Director of Education (Counselling & Guidance) at the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka, with more than 20 years of professional experience, including over 9 years specializing in educational guidance, psychological counselling, and career guidance.
She is an experienced Psychological Counsellor, Career Guidance Practitioner, Child Psychologist, Educational Psychologist, Lecturer, Public Speaker, Teacher Trainer, Music Therapist, Voice Trainer, and Singer.
Throughout her career she has led national education initiatives, policy development, teacher capacity building, counselling programme implementation, and educational leadership across Sri Lanka.
She has collaborated with international organizations including UNICEF, ILO, and GEMP to strengthen national guidance and counselling services.
Her mission is to empower students, educators, parents, and communities through psychology, education, innovation, leadership, and lifelong learning.
